I Hate Running

My Mother was a runner

 

My Father was a runner.

 

My sister was a runner.

 

They all ran the 100 meter.

 

I was not a runner. I hate running

 

I ran because my Mother Father & Sister ran.

 

I have long legs. I’m built for long distance.

 

But I hate running. I hated it in high school track and field.

 

My coach would say “Why are you running the 200? You’ve got long legs! You can do the 3K no sweat”.

 

But I hate running.

 

I run today to honor my father and mother. my sister, whose track meets were the daily activity of my family. I run for Coach Gray today, who was right.
