A Job Is Not A Thing To Have

A job is not a thing to have

If an individual works for another and they enjoy it, it is congruent with their needs then that is fine.

But for those who are uncompromising. Those who naturally find themselves apart from the pack, a job is not a thing to have.

This is not an advice column. This is not motivational / self help jargon. Straight Truth.

There is nothing wrong with a job.

For those who lack a natural drive, a job, like school, is most certainly necessary.

But for those who are moved by a drive beyond the majority a job can only serve to domesticate one's raw gifts.

I feel it is better to starve. To live a life off the beaten path than it is to work a job.

Again, this is not an advice column. I am not here to encourage anyone to do anything. I am simply stating the Truth.

It is better to live with little means and work with what one has then it is to work a job.

Because the things one loses by way of socialization, domesticity, are things one often doesn’t get back.

You are in a far greater position to learn about yourself, the world around you and the depth of your craft when your back is against the wall. When you don’t have time to waste. When you are less inclined to having a quarterly review.

When the circumstances become plentiful a human begins to slow down. Their vision becomes blurred. They become complacent.

When one has to keep their head above water they tend to harbor a sharp sense. They tend to not waste time, because they understand that by wasting time they are hampering their own livelihood.

Eventually one comes to see the pattern behind things.

Eventually one comes to learn.
